Lea Salonga and Jed Madela heard the news that the BOC burned the Yolanda donations on October 3. Known for giving fair and daring comments about the country's problem, Lea Salonga expressed her anger over the issue. 

Donations from Belgium, Norway, and the United States were burned down as they were expired. They were sent in 2014 and declared abandonment in 2017 without donors submitting the required papers to the Department of Finance so that they could start delivering the packages. 

These donated donations were clothing, diapers, medicines, and foods that were very helpful during the times when Yolanda victims were suffering. 

Lea Salonga was angry and she blamed the side of corruption or red tape. Her friends also commented on social media about this issue. The corrupt government officials and the previous administration have been blamed for their political assistance to victims of Typhoon Yolanda. 

It was being compared how the previous Aquino administration helped the Yolanda Victims versus the way the Davao City gave the Yolanda Victims' assistance under the administration assisted by Duterte.

They were promptly equipped with a complete rescue team and relief goods distributed to those in need.  The people must be punish behind this corruption to use the disaster to raise money, according to the singer icon, Jed Madela.
