In the most recent decision of the Muntinlupa Court denying the request of the of detained Sen. Leila de Lima to disqualify 13 convicted individuals from testifying for the government in her trial on charges of conspiracy to commit illegal drug trading.

Canadian Political Scientist Amir Assadollahi slammed De Lima - one of the fiercest critics of President Rodrigo Duterte and his administration for being ignorant on due process as to how the law works in relation to the drug case where she and her camp battling.

"You should know better how law works, and perhaps you did not study it well enough and that is why you are in this situation. You bullied yourself up the big stage and you know what they say - the higher you go, the hardest you fall." he said

Assadollahi a staunch supporter and defender of President Duterte stressed out that De Lima's attempt to disqualify the 13 prisoners as prosecution witness will not work " because in Democracy law is above everything else - while in the corrupt government of Aquino III -

"that you were part of, you violated the rights of citizens - your little arrogant power play at the Senate hearing with Trillanes (the mic. killer) was a reflection of that whole egocentric view of the world that you and your corrupt party and classmates have of the world and how you look down on the rules, laws and people!"

He also blast at the opposition Senator for assuming that she can just step on to the people using her power.

"You made many mistakes, and you assumed that just because you had a powerful position, you could step all over people! They say power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely - and you had an absolute power and you corrupted it with full intention to destroy laws and order that benefited the people of the Philippines in order to promote the interests of your corrupt and criminal friends." he wrote

"You used the law then to play with things for your own benefit, but you forgot that unlike you, the Lady Justice is blind folded without prejudice holding a scale that is balanced and just." he added

Acting Presiding Judge Lorna Navarro-Domingo of the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court Branch 206 junked the motion saying the prisoners are not accused in the case.

In a decision in case 17-167, citing Section 20 under Rule 130 of the Revised Rules of Criminal Procedure, which states that “all persons who can perceive, and perceiving, can make their known perception to others, may be witnesses.

Navarro-Domingo added that the only basis for the disqualification of witnesses in the drug case are by reasons of mental incapacity or immaturity and privileged communication.

De Lima was accused of conspiring with inmates at the New Bilibid Prison to sell or trade illegal drugs inside the national penitentiary while she was still the Justice chief, in exchange for millions of pesos she allegedly used for her senatorial campaign in 2016.

Dear De Lima,

Justice will serve no matter what, because that is what justice means, and remember this, the law will always catch the crimes and corruptions no matter how fast they run or how far they think they are ahead.

You and your party of corrupt and criminals made many people suffer, and it is in the Karma of the universe that your evil deeds will catch up with you and take you down with all the heavy chains of bad and inhumane things that you and your classmates have done against the Philippines and the Filipinos.

Perhaps the only way to reduce some of the burden of that heavy weight is to submit to the law and expose the rest of those who you helped and who are in bed of crimes and corruption with you.
