Safety is the first priority in these modern jeepneys  as it has 4 CCTV cameras and also has a speed limiter. It also has LED signages and GPS. The Hyundai Modern Jeepney was built with the help of Del Monte Motor Works, Inc.

The government has long persuaded local PUV operators to move to the new and modern jeep model. But it is not easy for many jeepney drivers and more controversial for them. The goal of the government is to reduce the high number of road accidents involving jeep drivers.

According to the government, drivers and operators can replace their old jeep for this modern car, and they will be given a 3-year period to pay for the new public transport.
